Jewish Blind & Disabled is the only Jewish charity providing mobility apartments with 24/7 support from on-site House Managers for people from the age of 18 upwards with physical disabilities and/or impaired vision..
Hemant Kanabar, the charity’s finance manager, told APT why he prefers its software for rent collection via direct debit.
Hemant joined Jewish Blind & Disabled in 2016 and has been using APT’s ‘iConnect’ software ever since. They currently manage a total of 315 mobility apartments across North West and North East London, housing 360 adults who are physically disabled or vision impaired.
The previous management team had been using manual systems , which made it very difficult to maintain correct records and collect rents. Jewish Blind & Disabled needed an easy way to, collect rents, maintain robust collection rates and also pay wages by BACs.
APT’s streamlined payment process has helped build better working relationships between Jewish Blind & Disabled charity and its tenants.
“‘iConnect’ software is used by myself, the Finance assistant and the HR manager. Whenever we have any issues or questions, we find that the phone is always answered straight away and support emails are answered promptly. We have no issues using APT services, not to mention that the costs are very reasonable. Their services are key to a smoother process for us and our tenants.”
A big thank you to Hemant Kanabar, Jewish Blind & Disabled charity’s finance manager, for answering the questions.
